Big changes happening around here at Mythic Seam!
First, I’ve opened up a new store that should make it much easier to shop! It’s now more convenient to find what you’re looking for or just to browse. The biggest improvement is to the fabric category. They’re now organized by color so you can better compare pieces.
While the pattern category is a little sparse at the moment, this is the area I’ll be focusing most on in the future. I’m currently in the process of making a galaxy pattern, inspired by this quilt:
So many people have asked me about it that I knew it had to be my next project! I also have two other patterns that I’m in the beginning stages of designing. So many ideas, so little time!
That doesn’t mean I’ll stop making fabrics. I absolutely love playing with color so I can’t imagine I’ll ever stop! I want to make more detailed pieces that can be used as panels for quilts, especially mandalas. But I’ve also been experimenting combining ice dyeing with different folding techniques because some of those can make some pretty awesome designs.
And of course there’s quilts in need of new homes! Some are from my patterns, others are one of a kind.
Second, I’ve completely redone my website to make it all fancy. I’ve really been working at improving my photography skills to make my posts more interesting to look at. I’m no professional, but I like to think I’ve improved since I started. Except for full pictures of quilts. Can we all just agree that taking full quilt pictures kind of suck?
So I’d like to invite you to take a look around my new website and store and let me know what you think!
